Bonnie Deuschle
Musical History
Bonnie’s natural talent surfaced at the age of 12 when she began to write music. In high school she won several Kansas State Awards for her vocal and piano talents.
She also played the trumpet and the French horn with the nationally acclaimed Argonne Rebels Drum and Bugle Corps. After high school, she sang with the world-renowned Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians.
Bonnie attended Oral Roberts University, where she became the top soprano for the well-known World Action Singers, appearing on television specials with Richard and Oral Roberts, along with guests such as Dionne Warwick and Minnie Pearl. After graduating from ORU, her desire to lead praise and worship soon took her to Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas to study praise and worship. As she studied, her songwriting ability blossomed and her work was sought after worldwide. She met her husband, Tom, and soon left the USA to serve with him in southern Africa.
Album History
To date, Bonnie has released five solo albums and her music has been recorded by well-known worship leaders around the world. Bonnie is not only a songwriter but a greatly sought after teacher. She has taught seminars throughout southern Africa and in Europe, Australia and the USA. Pastor Bonnie has been recognized as one of the pioneers of gospel music in Zimbabwe, and has been awarded, along with the Celebration Choir, a KORA African Music Award for Best gospel group.
Celebration Choir
The Celebration Choir is the major energy source of the “Celebration Series” albums. These lively worshippers consist of young and old, black and white, spanning several nationalities. Their mission statement is straight-forward: “We are passionate about leading others to worship,” a statement they live out with the greatest enthusiasm. |
